Mudpie Game Overview
Not much is known about the plot of this new game yet yet. I believe the plot will develop slowly over at the DRC where you are asked to take a unique perspective on the game making progress. For the time that you are at that site you are asked to "petend" or "believe" that D'Ni-the huge cavern underneath the surface of the Earth, where an ancient civilization once thrived and created books to link to different worlds- is real. And that right now Restoration Engineers are down there restoring it so that we all can go visit it someday. D'Ni will be the main setting for Mudpie. None of the following is definate but MIGHT be true: Every player will have there own personal age where they can store found linking books and other things. Every player will have their own neighborhood which they will share with their friends. Then there will be the main D'Ni cavern which everyone will have access to. Every day something will be added. Every week something substantial will be added. Every month a new age will be added.-End of not definate stuff-

Mudpie Game Features
This game will be entirely in realtime 3D which means you will actually move through the age-instead of the point and click slide show seen in Myst and Riven. The graphics will be Riven quality or better. The game will be made for broadband internet though a lower quality version will be available to those with low-band. Fully customizable detailed avatars (people in the game) will be able to be customized to look exactly like you. You most likely will be able to switch between third person and first person views. Live voice communication between players will add even more to the reslism. When asked about the cahnge from single player cd-rom to the realm of massively multiplayer broadband internet, Cyan responded with two reasons: 1. When people played Myst and Riven they tended to congregate in groups and solve puzzles together. Now, with broadband internet we can allow people to congregate-in the game- and solve puzzles together. 2. Even before Riven we would ask eachother "What if our worlds never ended?", but the technology just wasnt available at the time. Now finnally through broadband internet it's possible, and that's what we are doing with the next game. A world that will never end.
